Cheese Recall & A1 vs. A2 Milk Protein

Bad Cheese

There’s been a cheese recall on the Family Farmstead mild 8oz cheese.

Why it was recalled

They tested this chese and it came positive on e.coli.

What yo should do

You should test for e coil symptoms if you ate the chese nobody reported symptoms yet the recall is really soon but not today so check the chese and your good to go.

Complications

Also even though the chese has a2 protein its not safe to have e.coli its a dangerous bacteria.

About a1 vs. a2 Proteins

What is the benefit of a2 protein?

If you feel not very good from dairy products then a2 protein will make you feel better than a1 protein.

In dairy, what causes discomfort and other stuff?

A 1 protein releases bcm-7 which is linked to digestive discomfort.

Why a2 is generally considered better than a1 protein.

A2 doesn’t release bcm-7 and as I said a1 does. Also, a2 typically last longer because it’s ultra pasteurized. Also in the cheese label it says a2 is easier to digest.

Why a2 milk is ultra pasteurized.

a2 is ultra pasteurized so it last longer and kills all the virtualy all bacteria in the milk.

Why is most a2 milk ultra pasteurized but most a1 milk is not?

Thats a good question I couldn’t find a answer online for some reason it doesn’t make any sense if you find the answer good for you. It may be because a1 is more popular so a2 is trying to get popular too.

A2 is growing though!

A2 is growing because of all the things we talked about and there’s no similar benefit of a1. A2 is overall way better in my opinion.

Lactose Confusion

Some people think that theres more lactose in a1 than in a2 but theres the exact same amount of lactose.

Why a2 tastes different than a1.

It tastes different purely because it digests better. because of reasons I mentioned before.

Why is a2 milk more expensive than a1?

A2 is typically 50% more expensive than a1 because they have to check the cow to make sure its a2 and that makes it take more effort therefore its more expensive than a1 also it takes years to make sure its only a2 plus there’s more breeds that are a1 than a2.

How do they check the cow?

They test the DNA often via hair or tissue samples.
